Gus Warrens Untitled Existential Meltdown
One thing that I never have gotten, is that we never actually choose our own religion, the only reason I was christian is simply because my parents were (barely). But if they were jewish, I would have been to. We aren't truly born with the freedom of religion, sure you can always just not have a religion, but most are automatically born into a religon, through baptisms circumcisms and other miscellanious stuff. People never actually say when the're kids that they'd like to belong to a certain religion. And most people don't have the time to consider a religion because they already have one being force fed to them. In fact most kids hate church and have to be dragged there. Then over the years you accept the religion
When I was a kid it was a fact, God is up there in and heaven with all the angels doing his God stuff. That simple. Its weird how I just accepted it, the fact that man was instantly created is so ludicris. The whole Christian religion seems like a fairy tale to me, a bad one at that.
How could a god let people do the things that they have been doing? The church always acts like they improve your life through God or Jesus, but are they really improving it? People are guiding their lives based on a book written tousands of years ago.
The whole Christian religion, to me, is a system, a synoptic and comlete view of things. If you take away one of its principle concepts, the belief in God, then you shatter the whole religon. Christianity presupposes that man does not know whats good for him, that he has to make all of his decisions based on an ancient and outdated book. Its supposed to be the man believes in God and this all powerful being knows whats best for him. The whole Christian religion stands or falls with the belief in God.
All this leads me to wonder whether God was just one of Man's mistakes. Wars have been started over his existance, people kill each other over this religion. What kind of God would want this...
I don't know maybe I'm just loosing my mind
Update: I have come to this conclusion, Man is overrated
Everyone is always asking the question "Why are we here?"
What if we're not meant to be here?
We, as humans, give ourselves too much credit. There are other beings on this planets whose only reason for existing is toe eat and to be eaten. Why should our purpouse be any greater than these animals, simply because we are more adapted and evolved.
Man is Overrated...
